In Meridian, it’s a commodity. A currency. They say Anima Dynamics can extract it, polish it, and sell it back to someone less fortunate. You can pay your rent with the memory of your first love, or buy a dream of a sun you've never seen. But when your own mind is for sale, what part of you is still yours?

Built upon the monolithic ruins of a civilisation that vanished into a digital myth called The Ark, Meridian is a place where humanity has found a new way to consume itself. Through the commercialised neural network known as Morpheum, controlled by Anima Dynamics, the most intimate human experiences are extracted, distilled, and traded on the open market.

It is a world of stark divides. In the neon-drenched lower levels of Nexus, citizens sell their moments of joy just to survive the week, while the elite purchase curated fantasies to escape the suffocating reality of a dying planet.

But the system is flawed. Permeating the ancient technology that runs the city is The Echo, a chaotic, static-filled remnant of the old world's digital consciousness. It is a sprawling, fractured anomaly, whispering truths that the corporations will kill to keep quiet.

Morpheum's Gate is a tech noir universe exploring the architecture of memory, the weight of the past, and the terrifying cost of uncovering a truth the world was designed to hide.
